The Bengaluru City Police – Traffic Warden Organisation (BCP-TWO) conducted a comprehensive In-Service Training Programme for Senior Traffic Wardens on 27th September 2026 (Sunday) at the Traffic Management Centre (TMC), Bengaluru.

The programme was designed to strengthen the leadership, communication, legal awareness, team-management and public-service skills of Senior Traffic Wardens and to equip them to perform their responsibilities with greater confidence, discipline and professionalism. A total of 85 Senior Traffic Wardens participated in the full-day programme.

He has served as Professor of Practice and Chairperson, OB & HRM at IIM Bangalore and has coached numerous senior leaders across leading organisations. Shri. Mahesh Vaidya — Public Prosecutor, Government of Karnataka, and Legal Advisor to Karnataka CID, with extensive experience in criminal law, investigation and prosecution. He has also served as a resource person for law-enforcement and judicial officers on specialised laws and the new criminal codes. Dr. Praveen Kamath Kumbla — a senior HR and learning professional with nearly three decades of experience, currently serving as General Manager – HR, Wipro. With extensive experience in enterprise-wide learning and development, leadership development and executive coaching, he has worked across multiple sectors and geographies. His session on “Working with Batches of Recruits” was particularly relevant to Senior Traffic Wardens involved in mentoring and guiding new recruits.

A Day of Learning and Reflection

The programme provided Senior Traffic Wardens with an opportunity to learn from professionals who bring decades of experience from very different fields. The diversity of perspectives — ranging from leadership and self-development to public interaction, law, discipline, team motivation and working with volunteers — made the programme both comprehensive and relevant to the responsibilities of Senior Traffic Wardens.

The participants were also encouraged to look beyond their routine responsibilities and recognise the importance of personal conduct, communication, leadership by example and responsible public engagement in representing the BCP-TWO.

The training was very well received and widely appreciated by the participating Traffic Wardens. The interaction with the distinguished faculty, the practical insights shared during the sessions and the opportunity for participants to reflect on their own roles made the programme a valuable learning experience.

The successful completion of the programme marks another important step in BCP-TWO’s continuing endeavour to strengthen its leadership and develop its members through regular training and capacity building.

With its Senior Traffic Wardens better equipped to guide, mentor and lead, BCP-TWO remains committed to its larger objective of supporting the Bengaluru City Police and contributing towards a safer, more disciplined and responsible Bengaluru.
