The APEX Committee Meeting of the Bengaluru City Police – Traffic Warden Organisation (BCP-TWO) was held on 05 August 2026 at the Headquarters, under the chairmanship of Shri P. H. Rane, IPS (Retd.), Chief Traffic Warden. The meeting was attended by the Divisional In-charges (DIs) and Deputy Divisional In-charges (DDIs) from all Divisions, providing an opportunity to review organisational activities and deliberate on key administrative and operational matters.

During the meeting, the DIs and DDIs presented a review of the activities undertaken by their respective Divisions, covering traffic regulation duties, special deployments, road safety initiatives and public awareness programmes. The Committee reviewed the overall performance and functioning of the Divisions and discussed measures to further strengthen operational effectiveness and coordination.

The status of active and inactive Traffic Wardens was also reviewed, with emphasis on improving participation, ensuring regular engagement and maintaining a disciplined and active volunteer force. The importance of effective communication between the Divisional leadership and Traffic Wardens at the grassroots level was also highlighted.

The Committee reviewed the progress of CTY (Catch Them Young) road safety awareness programmes being conducted in schools and educational institutions. The continued expansion of these programmes across Bengaluru was discussed, with the objective of reaching more students and fostering responsible road-user behaviour from a young age.

The meeting also deliberated on various administrative and organisational matters and the important decisions in this regard were taken.

The meeting concluded with Shri P. H. Rane, IPS (Retd.), Chief Traffic Warden, appreciating the commitment and voluntary service rendered by the Traffic Wardens across all Divisions. He encouraged the DIs and DDIs to continue providing strong leadership and to ensure that the organisation functions with discipline, dedication, professionalism and a spirit of service, in close coordination with the Bengaluru Traffic Police for the safety and well-being of the citizens of Bengaluru.
